Camping & Glamping

We are dedicated to creating a pleasant experience camping at the festival. The campsite is situated in a beautiful setting in the meadows beside the River Thames and will be stewarded 24 hours a day, with showers and toilets throughout.

Unfortunately, for safety reasons, barbeques, naked flames etc. are not allowed in the campsite.

You are welcome to bring camping stoves, but please follow the manufacturer’s instructions and do not use inside tents.

The campsite opens at 2.00pm on Friday (Aug 20) and closes at midday on Monday (Aug 23). If arriving on the Friday evening, last entry will be at 10pm.

Family Field

If camping with children we have a dedicated family field in a quieter area of the campsite.

Motorhomes/RV/Campervans – SOLD OUT

If you want to bring “live-in” vehicles to the festival we have a dedicated field in the campsite. You will need to purchase a permit which costs £65 per vehicle and you must have weekend camping tickets for each person.

Note: We do not have hook-ups for electricity/water and we cannot allow caravans, sorry.

Glamping

Glamping or glamorous camping is back for 2010, with an even wider range of choices than last year.

Tangerine Fields – Leave your tent at home
Tangerine Fields

Imagine not lugging tents and camping gear around for hours until you find a spot to pitch. No struggling to put up a tent in the dark. No calling for your mates across a pitch black campsite. Tangerine Fields is what you’re dreaming of. And it’s here at the 80’s Rewind Festival 2010.

Tangerine Fields have ready-pitched and fully equipped tents for hire. All you have to do is book and turn up. Tents are available in 2, 4 and 6 man sizes and tipis in 2, 6 and 8 man sizes. Better still, book with your friends and we’ll make sure you’re all camped together.

Tangerine Fields

And for that added bit of luxury and piece of mind, we have our own toilets and showers in a secure area with 24 hour stewarding

Cloudhouses – home of Yurts and Squrts

Justine and Simon set up Yurts and Squrts in 2007. After making and selling yurts for several years they decided that creating pretty, fun, cosy and green festival accommodation was to be their next step…

Yurts are nomadic structures originating from central Asia where they have been used for thousands of years.

Squrts are fun and quirky miniature yurts, designed and hand-made by Justine and Simon in their workshop in rural Northumberland. They are colourful, cosy and unique, created exclusively to provide an unforgettable, luxury camping experience.

Squrts

Cloudhouses are a twist on an old Persian design not dissimilar to a yurt called an Alachigh. Cloudhouses are a little more spacious than a yurt and are much better for anyone who likes a higher and wider doorway. These were new for 2009 look out for their new addition especially created for 2010.

All basic yurts, squrts and cloudhouses are supplied with a fully fitted watertight groundsheet. Furnished yurts, squrts and cloudhouses come with the fitted groundsheet which they cover with cosy rugs, fluffy sheepskins, a scattering of cushions a small handmade table and tea light lantern (with a good supply of tea lights).

For all bookings go to www.yurtsandsqurts.com or call 01434 683838 for further info.

NEW FOR 2010:

The Posh Wash Village

The idea is simple; every shower user just picks up a ticket and then sits down and can enjoy tea and toast at the cafe whilst they wait for their number to be called. The village is constantly attended by friendly staff who ensure the showers are continuously clean and running smoothly. Very civilised.

The Breakfast Village

A new area in the campsite with increased choice of caterers, picnic area and coffee/tea tent.

Cart-to-Camp

Four wheel trolleys available for hire, to take the hassle out of lugging all your kit across the campsite.
