Hand picked by legendary producers Stock, Aitken and Waterman, Rick went from obscurity in Warrington to chart stardom when his debut single “Never Gonna Give You Up” went to the top of the charts in the summer of ’87 and a string of hits followed. After walking away from the music industry at the height of his fame, he made a comeback in the noughties with new material and a new legion of fans whose ‘Rickrolling’ antics swept the internet. As popular as ever, he’s recently toured with Peter Kay and worked as a DJ on Magic FM.
